I just finished reading the post below. It’s fabulous and likely more important to read than my post here. But here goes.

Women (perhaps moms more specifically) can be Trump’s undoing.

Yes, women voted for Trump. Yes, some work for him. But Trump stands for the worst in men. We must first reflect on Trump’s comments with Billy Bush. They are gross. Just despicable. Who wants to imagine a man saying that about us or a daughter, mother? Gob Bluth puts it best:

What’s scarier are the people he surrounds himself with. Pence has regularly attacked women’s right to health care (among myriad other women’s issues…). He will try to roll back Roe vs. Wade. He will push for the most conservative supreme court justice. He will try to de-fund Planned Parenthood.

Trump is also just a liar. He’s not a good person. He cites Julian Assange as a reputable source for evidence, above and beyond the CIA. (WHAT???) (Brief props to Lindsey Graham for calling him out.)

I don’t want my kids to have him as President. I have a 4 and 6 year old. The best way to describe why Trump being President is so bad is to tell him that he is a liar. Kids understand lies. Sure, politicians bend the truth and lie. But with Trump, it’s pathological. It’s disturbing. When the President lies, he normalizes it. I don’t want my kids to lie.

Back to the Quartz article. Women’s media is a thing, but, as they point out, it shouldn’t be. Women are more educated. Women listen. Women are powerful.

This is the first of many call to arms for women in a time of Trump. Own your bodies, selves, and children. Let’s neuter Trump.
